International Visitors

We had a neat time when about thirty students came from all parts of the world to visit our school. They were here to plant trees and mix with the kids at our school. We three students talk to our class. Irene and Jessica came from Florida and Sam came from England. They each had accents when they spoke. We loved having them visit. In the afternoon they played basketball and soccer against the older kids in the school.
The trees they planted are growing well. Perhaps they can come back one day and see the beautiful New Zealand native bush.

As part of our science experiments children have been mixing things. Hannah brought along the baking soda, red dye and then poured in some vinegar into the crater. Woosh. Out oozed the redish coloured larva. Everyone was amazed at how things change.
The juniors ran the long course and puffed their way to the finish line. It was a great challenge for everyone. Well done to everyone for putting a fine effort into the races.

We are a fit lot and we all really like to sing and dance our way through all the jump jam routines. Miss Richter and Mrs Thompson are great at leading us with the big kids from the school. We are lucky we have the dome to dance under.
Lots of children in the class belong to sports teams. The bouncers miniball team have enjoyed playing together and won lots of games.
