We are really enjoying our new playhouse. We love playing in it at lunch time. Thank you to the parents who helped build it for us!

We have had a great start to the year with all of the children settling in well and beginning to work very hard.

From Room 6 kids 2010

All of the juniors did an awesome job at presenting their animals musical on Tuesday night. All the room 6 kids (beavers, farmers, cows & fleas) did a fantastic job. You are all stars! More photos of the show to come at a later date.

We all had a great time learning how to be Fire Wise kids. We learnt that fire, lighters and matches are not toys…they are tools. We drew a map/plan of our house and worked out a fire escape plan and meeting place with our parents, just incase we ever have a fire at home. We made some smoke tunnels in the sandpit which was really fun. A highlight from this topic was, of course, our visit to the Omokoroa Fire Station. We learnt so much from the figherfighters and really enjoyed learning about their job and the fire engine. It was really cool when they pretended there was a fire…we got a bit wet but didn’t really mind!!! Thank you to all of the parents that came and helped on the day.

As part of conservation week we went down to the Omokoroa Beach front and picked up any litter that we could find.

We hope that all of the room 6 Dads had a great day on Fathers Day and enjoyed their cards! The kids enjoyed making their cards using photos and thought it would be something special…

All students presented their poems to the class and did a fantastic job. It was really difficult picking students for the finals. Congratulations to the following students for making the finals; Renae, Logan, Brooke, Zach, Ben, Luke, Jessica, Sarah and Max. They all did a brilliant job!

All of the students are really enjoying PMP. They are developing numerous skills and abilities, as well as learning about their bodies. Thank you to all of the parents that have been involved.

We all had a really fun time at our cross country. Every body ran so well and put 100% effort into their races. Well done to those students that came first, second and third.
