We had such an awesome time in Otorohanga with Room 3 and 4, exploring the Kiwi House park and the cool facts around the ‘Kiwiana Capital of NZ’. We have been learning about Kiwiana and all things NZ! We all learnt so much more and loved every minute of it – especially the hokey pokey icecream and giant jaffa we got at the end!! Thanks to the parents and Mr Broadhurst for driving the bus!

Poor Stella came to school today with the remains of a burnt towel and melted candles!
Candles on top of her fireplace melted and caused the fire to expand and jump up the wall! But luckily, Stella and her family were quick to use a fire extinguisher and wet towels to put out the fire and stopped it quickly. They did all the right things, called 111 and got out safely. We are all so glad that Stella and her family are alright!

Now it is getting colder, we all need to be aware of fires and their dangers! Thanks Stella for sharing your remains and thoughts.
