February 26th, 2011 by room2We have had a very busy start to the new school year. All pupils have been having weekly Grasshopper tennis coaching which has been a lot of fun. Technology at Tauranga Primary has been a highlight for many since beginning their Year 7 class.
There are 12 newly appointed House Leaders and they have been to a worthwhile Dynamo training day at Greenpark School run by Sport BOP.
The Room 2 House Leaders are:
Hannah, Max, Brooke, Nic, Alec and Laura.
CONGRATULATIONS!
On Wednesday the Year 7 and 8 classes visited DiveHQ for a lesson in deep water survival techniques. This will be helpful as we are off to camp at Lake Rotoiti soon.
The sports minded are in training for the Splash, Dash and Paddle to be held on Friday at Pilot Bay. Good luck to those contestants!

As the mowers raced children got their thrills on exciting gala activities such as the chair o plane, zorb, rifle shooting and plate smashing. The cafes served delicious food all day and the Year 6 businesses did a roaring trade in their colourful shops. Overall it was an awesome day!
PET DAY
October 27th, 2010 by room2

We all had a fantastic day on Friday 22nd October. All morning we were busy in our classroom creating photo frames, table centre pieces, flowers in unusual containers and carved vegetables and fruit. Then it was pet time in the afternoon. Cailey and Alice brought rats! Chelsea brought her enormous dog Cleo and Cole brought Cassie the labrador.
Our decorated cakes were very impressive with Alice taking out first prize!
