Beautiful sunshine, great snow, and lots of people to ski with!!
That was how our ski trip was on the Thursday.
By Friday, the weather had closed in, but the bitterly cold wind did not deter the hardy students from our class who went out and rode the pommer in Happy Valley, as it was the only lift open. They continued to have fun with each other, skiing down backwards to test themselves when it was too easy.
Our parents hunkered down in the Happy Valley cafe, until the chair lifts began to operate. Eventually they opened and most adults got out skiing for the rest of the day.
Thank you to all of our wonderful parents that came on the ski trip. Your support was invaluable and I was grateful to many of you that took students off to other parts of the mountain, teaching and encouraging them to extend themselves and their skiing abilities. We had eleven students attend the beginning ski lessons and all were up and skiing within an hour.
