Look at all the fabulous skiing we had. We were lucky to have great weather and lots of snow. What a great time!

Holly Richards won the Lions International Peace Poster Competition. The theme for the competition was “Children Know Peace”. Students from Omokora Point School, Te Puna and our school entered the competition. Well done Holly. We are all proud of you in Room 1!!

Last term Room 1 had a lead role in the whole school production of the Rugby World Cup Whirlwind tour. I can see we have some budding actors and actresses amongst us. I was very proud to see the students up on stage speaking and acting so well. Room 1 was truly the glue that linked all the classroom acts and different countries together!!

Hello everyone, I have been off work caring for my family, but now I am back teaching in Room 1 – a wonderful class of Year 7 and 8′s.

What a lot of fun we had at Ski Camp. It was really dissapointing not to get  great weather, but we had lots of laughs.

Room 1 have been practicing their singing and dancing for Skoolstars. It has been lots of fun singing to Summer of 69. Real Rock Stars!!

We were lucky to be able to visit Mandy Williams Art Studio this week to see a real artist in action. Mandy spent time explaining many of her techniques and how she worked on each canvas. Check out her great website – Mandy Williams Artist.
In class we have been experimenting with various techniques (moulding paste, tissue, gold leaf, scratching ito paint….) and are now going on to paint our own canvas works of art.
